A giraffe drinking from a water-hazard on the unique Hans Merensky Golf Course, Phalaborwa, S.A. In January 2000, I witnessed a herd of impala being chased by two lions along the 11th fairway! This a wonderful place to play golf. It is the only course where I don't get too upset if I play poorly, as the Game viewing and bird watching more than compensates for any golfing disappointments.
